You may not feel called to leadership. You may have simply fallen into it. That's okay.
If leadership has become a calling or if you want to examine whether leadership itself may be moving beyond being a job or a career orientation, today's episode may give you a few things to think about.
I mention an interview with Neil deGrasse Tyson where he makes an interesting comment about how, while he found his calling to Astro Physics at a VERY early age, he found learning in other, seemingly unconnected, fields served him well.
Listening to Neil I couldn't help but think about how a leader in any field or profession benefits from an openness and curiosity far beyond the specific focus. Preparing this episode actually triggered my curiosity about cultural anthropology; I'll be looking for more insights from that field to expand my thinking on leadership.
