Well-being adds value. Is overall #well-being in short supply?

In 2022 why not make it a priority. Perhaps it will offer an advantage.

Hosted by Roxanne "Rox" Bartel, this podcast in 2022 focuses on interventions, stories and reflections on how we can all expand our well-being and inspire the same in others around us.

Rox walks with her clients, offering an "all you could need" in coaching services at a flat monthly rate with the mission of expanding our individual and collective well-being.

Women's stories of sexual harassment in the workplace has sparked so many conversations about how men and women engage and how, because we so often misunderstand each other, our engagements end up in conflict or bigger problems. "NO" means no, not "convince me"...in sexual conversations. And yet in many workplaces and in some positions (like sales) the opposite is true. I am speaking to leaders though AND in today's episode, for reasons that have nothing to do with the #MeToo movement, we need to learn to get out of the adversarial relationship with our direct reports, where leaders call the shots, and limit dissent, criticism and disagreement.

This week's tip: When you hear dissent or criticism learn to welcome it as a learning opportunity rather than jumping first into convincing others to see or adopt your way. As a leader your positional power makes it really easy for you to bully or require others to comply; frankly, its a lazy and short sighted and fixed mindset approach to leadership.

Next week's WQT (Winter Quick Tip); the Hint:  do you believe everything you see?
