Action feels great. The rush of dopamine we feel when we check-off an item on the to-do list is just a fraction of what it feels like when we take decisive action as a leader.
We've talked about: getting on your mark with reflection and observation; getting set with inquiry that drives insight; the importance of developing an implementation and communication strategy; TODAY it is about how to use all of these and incorporate reflection and sharing as regular elements throughout the move forward.
It may feel like this four step approach will slow you down and make you less effective - I caution you that when you leap and pull your team down with you, you will be much less effective that when you get comfortable flowing through these four stages as you transition into a new team or prepare for a new project or a major change initiative.
Once you have used the four stages and the three elements a few times they will flow easily for you and become habitual. Try it. I am here to help.
