This series is proving to be a challenge for me - these controlling SOBs - habits - drive unconscious behaviors and ultimately we just get accustomed to a particular pattern (it's comfortable) AND THEN they can start to take control UNLESS we learn to take advantage of that small region in our pre-frontal cortex (the infra-limbic cortex). WHO KNEW!

How are the habits you simply accept without thought impacting your performance as a senior leader? We recently covered biases so this is a good time to reflect on what is different about how a bias and a habit impact your day.

I would say a bias influences how you interpret a situation while habit influences your automatic actions and inclinations. Both are neither good or bad but both can be limiting.

What if you became more friendly or familiar with your habits so you can choose which to use or discard at any time?
