Feel the burn! Grit requires and prepares you to be willing to go through the fire sometimes.
I am still travelling as I queue this episode up. As most of you know I have developed, and continue to add to, a course on developing grit.
This trip has added insights to my work and even as I listen to this episode, that I previously recorded on pushing through the pain. The trip has given me so much joy, excitement AND it has stretched me in ways I hadn't even expected. I've learned a lot about myself, a I often do when I travel.
This week's tip: Leadership is an exercise in stretching yourself to feel the burn JUST enough. Recognize the value while remembering the residual impacts of the stretch on your social brain and that of others who are impacted by your choices.
Next week's FQT (Fall Quick Tip); the Hint: when did you last test your blind spots and what if you simply shoulder-checked more effectively?
Hey while you're here, learn a bit about the new course I'm developing for late 2017 called it takes Grit. I have been contracted to deliver the basics of this course at a few professional conferences and professional associations later in 2017 and into 2018 and I plan to deliver the course in both classroom environments and on-line.
