Hosted by Roxanne "Rox" Bartel, this podcast uses stories and reflection questions to support deeper thinking and exploration for listeners.

Rox walks with her clients, helping them contribute more and expand their influence, while enjoying the journey as they uncover patterns and habits that impede or inspire the future they seek. Her focus is on expanding awareness - self-awareness - and a deeper understanding of our impact in and on the world.

In 2021 she is focusing on resilience; why, how and what to do to expand it so we can make the most of the post-pandemic world we crave.

Is there danger in being certain? In other words can you possibly be too certain? Absolutely.

Not knowing - not having the answer or the solution feels vulnerable to most leaders, especially young less experienced leaders. Experienced leaders still suffer from this malady AND it can often have more serious implications than when young leaders fall prey.

If you were recently promoted or you are about to promote a new manager or leader, a coach can help the leader make the transition more smoothly and effectively.

Accepting that you don't know something or could learn something actually makes you more effective in manager or leadership.

This week's Quick Tip: being too certain is a sign you have put blinders on and your sight lines are seriously compromised as a result

Next week's SQT (Spring Quick Tip); the Hint: where are you in the race to compete in the marketplace and where do you want to position yourself?

I'm building a coaching element into my "Resilience: it takes Grit" course. I want to play with a few of my ideas on how to design a coaching element. Could this be great for you?I've decided to invite 5 clients between now and the end of this calendar year who specifically want to focus on developing greater resilience in their lives. What's in it for you? reduced rates for my coaching time in exchange for your input/feedback on how my tools and approaches are supporting your ability to be more resilient.

What am I doing these days?

  1. While you're here, learn a bit about the new course I've developed called "Resilience: it takes Grit". I've contracted to deliver the basics of this course at a few professional conferences and professional associations in 2017 and 2018 and I plan to deliver the course in both classroom environments and on-line starting in late 2018.
  2. I continue to work with experienced leaders who are transitioning and aspiring leaders who are seeking to build their leadership acumen in conversation.
  3. ON YOUR MARK...™ is ImpactBank's signature system for leaders in transition.
  4. Culture4Breakfast - I'm working with leaders and your organization to understand you current culture, figure out what needs to change to be and do better AND learn to experiment constantly to continuously improve.

Whether it's about systems or leadership skills, my mission is to help senior leaders make their workplace more productive, inclusive and innovative.

If you think I can help, contact me for a quick conversation.
