Are you more task oriented or relationship oriented?
A task orientation requires the leader to employ more of a command and control style of leadership. Frankly it is not only very North American in style but it is very 20th Century.
To be a relationship oriented leader a new set of skills are required.
Today we explore how influence (a critical skill for leaders) can become manipulation under the command and control style.

FEEDBACK NOTE: (Please help) The feedback I receive most about my podcast, in addition to how great my theme music is, centres exclusively on my tone and tenor. Apparently I am not fully authentic. My clients, friends, family and random people in my network tell me I don't sound like myself. AGH! How many times do I have to hear this! Well I do hear it and starting back with episode 60 I have been working on a few new approaches in an attempt to change this. I welcome your feedback - tweet me, message me on LinkedIN or leave a comment below or connect with me via my website. Help me fix this. IF you don't know me well enough to judge let's fix that and connect online for a conversation.
