Well-being adds value. Is overall #well-being in short supply?

In 2022 why not make it a priority. Perhaps it will offer an advantage.

Hosted by Roxanne "Rox" Bartel, this podcast in 2022 focuses on interventions, stories and reflections on how we can all expand our well-being and inspire the same in others around us.

Rox walks with her clients, offering an "all you could need" in coaching services at a flat monthly rate with the mission of expanding our individual and collective well-being.

Are you a leader who needs to make a difference?

If you are like any of my clients in the non-profit sector, you chose your path because of a purpose or passion you have. You chose to serve in a leadership role to be a catalyst for change and improvement.

Leaders who really want to make a significant difference will need courage to bring forward bold ideas, new perspectives and innovative approaches. As a result you will face the straw-man from time to time - if you are not prepared you may be shut down before you even begin.

NOW there is a twist to this BECAUSE when the senior leader employs the straw-man fallacy to silence members of his/her team, it can create huge challenges for the workplace and the future of the agency....so you will want to notice both when the straw-man is projected onto you and when you are deploying him yourself.

The blog post includes some tips to help you manage this bias and as promised I describe an additional form of bias - The Self-serving Bias.

Listen especially for this week's iteration of my various definitions of what a bias is.

In the comment section share a variation of the definition that you think may offer a fun twist.

ImpactBank is in the business of coaching and mentoring senior leaders who are striving to master the art & practice of leadership in the non-profit sector.

Thank you to all the regular listeners. A special thanks to Kimberly for all your enthusiastic support and advice EVEN THOUGH YOU RECENTLY ASSURED ME YOU DON'T LISTEN TO PODCASTS; to Olivia, Emily, James, Brian and Alan for your direct and thoughtful feedback; to Augusta for the coaching (you really are kick-ass and I hear you in my head every week).

Thanks again to Greg and Rob for the Kickass Koach theme.

Next Time:   Are you making bad decisions about money and what if it hurts your agency or organization how much are your biases costing you...
